Okay, I'm writing this journal to address an issue that has gone on for far to long: Twilight hating. Yes, Twilight hating. I have been a fan of the books LONG before they were ever considered for a movie. As for the movie, I have certain opinions...but that's not the point. It seems I can't go anywhere with out seeing some dumbass comment about how much some random person hates Twilight. NOBODY CARES how much you hate Twilight, especially the Twilight fans. That's what get's on my nerves more than ANYTHING! The fact that every person who has a problem with Twilight feels the need to tell every Twilight fan they come across, exactly what they think about it. As if hearing YOUR opinion on Twilight will magically make me change my mind! As if i even care what you think! We, as Twilight fans DO NOT CARE if you hate Twilight, nor have we ever. The sooner you get this through your heads, the sooner we can all get on with our lives.
Now, I'm not saying you can't have an opinion, I have my own. But I'm not going to ridicule someone just because they like something that I don't. If you do NOT like Twilight, hey, that's fine. Really; everyone's different. Just please, be respectful of others. When in the presence of a Twilight fan, please keep your anti-Twilight comments to yourselves. There are forums dedicated to the hatred of all sorts of things, Twilight being one of them. Please take your hatred there, where you can all validate each others' ego's by agreeing with each other.Leave it off of web sites like funnyjunk, oddee, iambored, etc. and go to the forums! Even here on DA: rude comments on Twilight fan art. Now, I'm not saying you can't make a piece dedicated to your hatred or general dislike of Twilight, but leave your nasty comments on THOSE pieces. Fan art is for the fans. You'd think that's obvious enough, but yet...here we are. Leave all your rude comments and snide remarks off of Twilight fan art. If you don't like Twilight, don't even leave a comment on our fan art. It's that simple. This applies to everything else that has a fandom. I'm not saying that everyone should love everything, just OMG! have some common courtesy...which is not so common. You don't have to love Twilight, just stop bitching every chance you get, because no one wants to hear you bitch!
So what's the moral of this story? It's simple: (1) Be respectful of others. You don't have to love everything, just don't bitch about everything you hate every chance you get! Especially Twilight. Let me reiterate: WE DO NOT CARE! (2) Leave your hating on the forums. That's what their for. They were made by people like you so at the very least, you'll have someone to agree with. (3)Be respectful of artist and their work. This should be a no brainer, but i have seen disrespectful comments on certain fan art, and not just on this site. Just...be nice. The Golden Rule, ya know. In fact, let's all just agree to disagree......but seriously, just stop with the Twilight bitching, it's getting fucking annoying!!!
